JOIN MAYOR ESSER FOR “COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS”

The Sun Prairie Media Center is happy to be premiering “Community Conversations,” a newly-produced special with the intent of informing the Sun Prairie community about what has happened during the past year and what lies ahead in 2021.

The cornerstone of the special is Mayor Paul Esser’s annual “State of the City,” which will look at the breakdown, impact, and distribution of residents’ tax bills, challenges and successes the city had in 2020, what city leaders forecast in 2021, and more.

Following the Mayor’s “SOTC,” Esser and his co-host Taylor Brown of the city’s economic development will speak to Colonial Club executive director Bob Power, Chamber of Commerce executive director Amy Skicki, and Joanna Cervantes, who until very recently was the executive director of Sunshine Place.

Power, Cervantes, and Skicki will each speak to many issues, but central among them will be how COVID-19 impacted their organizations in 2020, how the community supported each organization during the pandemic, and what lies ahead for each of them as we hopefully move out of the pandemic in 2021.

“Community Conversations” will premiere on KSUN at 6 PM on Thursday, February 18. KSUN can be viewed on Charter Spectrum (channel 983), TDS TV (channels 13 and 1013), through Roku and Apple TV devices, on sunprairiemediacenter.com, and on the Sun Prairie Media Center mobile app. After its premiere, the program will be made available for on-demand viewing through those same platforms (minus Charter and TDS cable).

Because of the premiere of “Community Conversations,” live coverage of Thursday’s Sustainability Task Force meeting will be seen live on the city of Sun Prairie’s Facebook page.
